I am an artist working primarily in digital media, which I feel has less limitations than traditional physical art forms. I work in the Cubist tradition, as it aligns with my interests which lie in the intersection of mathematics and art. I aim to push boundaries while also respecting and paying homage to the Cubist movement. My work ranges from being quite geometric and rigid to more organic, which I also derive from Cubism. The concept of fragmentation is central to my work. When I begin an art piece, I imagine my thoughts being broken apart and put back together, similar to a beautiful picture being split into a puzzle. Essentially, at the core of my work, I stitch elements together and consider how the result contrasts with the original idea or imagery. Conceptually, many things influence my practice, from fantasy subjects to real places I’ve visited. Although from Miami, I draw inspiration from places such as Liverpool, where I had the opportunity to study.
